Operations Manager, Spain (Market Launcher)
Join Flovi as Operations Manager, Spain: own the launch, build and scale the driver network, and drive measurable impact from day one.
Operations Manager, Spain (Market Launcher)
Step into a high-impact role where you build Spain from zero to operational excellence. Shape the market entry, establish strong foundations, and scale with confidence — supported by a proven European framework and strong central expertise.
Build Spain from Day One
We are entering the Spanish market and looking for a hands-on Operations Manager who will turn expansion strategy into operational reality.
This is a high-ownership execution role with clear accountability. You will build and activate the local driver ecosystem in Spain from our Madrid office, ensuring that regulatory, operational, and performance foundations are solidly in place ahead of launch.
The role combines hands-on execution with strategic responsibility for how our logistics marketplace is structured, operates, and scales in a new market. You will not only execute the playbook — you will adapt, refine, and make it work locally.
This is not a coordination role. It is about ownership. About taking full responsibility for delivering a functioning, scalable model in a new country.
If you are motivated by building from zero, navigating real-world constraints, and delivering measurable business impact, this role is for you.
About the Role
As an Operations Manager, you will adapt Flovi’s proven operating model to the Spanish context and translate it into scalable execution on the ground.
Your focus is structured delivery. You will validate regulatory feasibility, design and optimize acquisition channels, onboard and train drivers, define and monitor KPIs, and implement workflows that ensure operational stability.
You will own key projects end-to-end, working closely with the Country Manager and HQ teams across Operations, Legal, and Finance. From day one, you will help shape how we scale operations in Spain and future markets.
Locally, you lead the build — aligning stakeholders, prioritizing actions, and driving progress toward launch readiness and sustainable performance.
This role requires senior judgment, disciplined execution, and the ability to operate effectively under ambiguity.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build and manage the driver pool
Plan capacity needs and acquisition strategy
Define onboarding standards and improve quality and performance
Coordinate daily transport operations
Oversee assignment logic and monitor execution
Resolve real-time issues and ensure operational KPIs are met
Use data to improve decisions
Identify bottlenecks and prioritize improvements
Create structured reporting and performance tracking
Contribute to operational strategy
Test workflows, improve efficiency, and scale best practices
Stay hands-on when needed
Communicate with drivers and clients
Support operations during busy periods so nothing falls through the cracks
Turn ideas into scalable ways of working across markets
Your Impact
Success in this role is defined by outcomes.
In the initial phase, you will activate the driver side of the operation by delivering a verified and fully onboarded driver base ready for launch. You will establish effective acquisition and onboarding processes while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Within the first year, you will implement structured reporting, stabilize performance, and transition the operation into a sustainable country setup built to scale.
Your work will directly determine whether the market successfully launches and scales.
What We Need From You
You are an operational builder who has launched or scaled complex operations in fast-paced environments. You take ownership and turn plans into execution.
Proven experience in marketplace, logistics, dispatch, operations, or platform-based environments
2–4+ years in startups or scaling companies preferred
Strong understanding of acquisition funnels, conversion metrics, and performance tracking
Ability to make independent decisions and structure ambiguous problems
Confidence working cross-functionally with Operations, Legal, and Finance
Comfort operating under ambiguity while maintaining structure
Clear communication skills with multiple stakeholders
Proactive, hands-on mindset — equally comfortable in strategy and day-to-day execution
Problem-solving attitude and ability to prioritize under pressure
Fluent Spanish and professional English are required.
